Heavy-thrash outfit REBELLIX is back after a year-long break, sounding louder, sharper, and more focused than ever, with a revamped lineup and a new single, “Gimme Gimme Gimme.”
After the departure of the band’s former bassist and drummer, REBELLIX stepped back to regroup and rethink its direction. That pause soon turned into fresh momentum when Mandy Finne and Jani Niemelä joined the band. From the very first rehearsal, the fit was immediate, the chemistry was there, and work on new material began without delay.
“Gimme Gimme Gimme” signals a return to the band’s roots, reviving the glam-tinged rock ’n’ roll attitude that shaped their early sound while retaining the heavy-thrash edge that defines them. The song channels the rush of a wild night out: a chase, a spark, and the kind of connection that burns fast, even if it doesn’t last until morning.
Produced at Sonic Pump Studios by Tuomas Yli-Jaskari and mastered by Joona Lukala, the single strikes a balance between polish and raw energy, matching the band’s intensity perfectly.
REBELLIX are also ready to return to the stage, with two Helsinki shows already lined up: May 30th at Bar Loose and August 21st at Baseidon Festival. The band is currently looking for support slots with larger acts and is open to festival bookings. REBELLIX return with a refreshed lineup, a new single, and a clear sense of purpose.
