Some reflections about the coming edition of the festival, and update on single-day and two-day tickets by the organizers:
| Dear Roadburners, Ever since we kicked off our announcements for Roadburn 2027 with the news of Neurosis and Emma Ruth Rundle returning to Tilburg, we’ve been delighted by your response. We know many of you are already looking ahead to next April – including those who have been waiting for the day tickets and two-day tickets to become available, even before the full line-up has taken shape. Well, we have news for you: day tickets and two-day tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 23rd! Alongside the regular dailies, you’ll be able to choose from three two-day combinations: Thursday and Friday, Friday and Saturday, or Saturday and Sunday. Whether you’re planning to spend a particular day with us or are putting together your own Roadburn experience across two days, we want to give you the chance to start making those plans. You may have noticed that we’re approaching our line-up announcements a little differently this time around. Rather than waiting until we have a larger batch of names to share, we’ve been giving individual artists their own moment in the spotlight. That includes some of the discoveries we’ve made through our ongoing explorations of the global underground, as well as artists who have been on our radar for a long time – names that might otherwise have to share the attention with a long list on a poster. We feel there’s something valuable in taking that extra moment to tell you why an artist excites us, where they come from, and what makes them worth spending time with. Every band we invite to Roadburn has something to contribute, and we want to give each of them the space to connect with you in their own way. Of course, we know that many of you are also waiting for the bigger line-up announcements – and they’re coming. We’re working hard to bring everything together. The landscape for festivals, touring and live music has changed considerably, reflecting the wider state of the world right now, and making all the pieces fall into place can take more time than it once did. These challenges are felt across the whole live music community: by artists, booking agents, managers, promoters and everyone working to make shows and festivals happen. We all depend on one another to bring these things to life, and we recognise the time, care and effort it takes from everyone involved. It takes patience, collaboration and a lot of work to make the right things happen – and that’s exactly what we’re committed to doing. What hasn’t changed is the care we put into building the Roadburn line-up. We’re still listening, exploring, following recommendations, connecting the dots and finding ways to bring different worlds together. The “four Cs”, as we like to call them, Community, Connection, Curiosity and Creativity, remain at the heart of what we do, and we keep those ideas in mind with every booking. We want to create a line-up that reflects the heart and spirit of Roadburn, opens doors to new discoveries and gives you those moments you’ll carry with you long after the festival is over. There’s plenty more to come, and we’re excited to share it with you as things fall into place. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We’re looking forward to seeing what next April brings – and to discovering it all together. Less than six months to go! |
