BLOODRED HOURGLASS will release their 4th studio album ”Godsend” on June 28 via Ranka Kustannus and Out Of Line Music
Today, the band reveals the first single and official music video for “Waves Of Black” which can be seen here:
The band comments:
”Waves of Black was actually the last song composed to the album, but after first vocal demo it was pretty clear, that this will end up as a single. The song includes a pretty annoying and sticky main riff, which is somehow at the same time some of the lightest and heaviest thing we’ve made. Groovy verses, catchy chorus and lyrical theme about how we, human beings, are not exactly the center of the universe in the big picture, make Waves of Black our first pick for a different kind of summer hit!”
As for the video, the band states:
”Waves of Black“ –video was shot in February 2019 in an abandoned school in our hometown Mikkeli.
Cold, dark and desolated as the lyrics of the song and winter in Finland. We trusted the job in the hands of our great friend and a rising movie director star, Jesse Haaja. Our cooperation has continued for years and Jesse has done a great job with our videos, just to mention an award winning „Six Feet Savior“ –video from our last album, “Heal”. And it just might be, that these are not the last minutes of our shared journey here…“
“Godsend” was recorded by Juho Räihä (Soundspiral Audio) who is also the man behind the previous releases. This time the album mixing and mastering is done by Henrik Udd (Henrik Udd Recording) who is famous for working previously with bands like Architects and Bring me the Horizon. The album cover art is designed by Tuomas Koivurinne in cooperation with Miika Saari.
