Say what you want, The Unholy Trinity Tour is the event of the spring of 2025 when it comes to black metal. Because what could be grander than three legendary bands touring together? ROTTING CHRIST, SATYRICON, and BEHEMOTH set off on a month-long trek across the old continent, making a stop at Helsinki’s Ice Hall on April 22nd, 2025.

The evening started with a performance of ROTTING CHRIST. The band started a few minutes ahead of schedule, opening with “666” followed by “Fire, God and Fear.” Their performances are always a huge treat to any fan of the genre. Raw, occult, ritualistic chanting in Greek – just the way we like it. The only downside of ROTTING CHRIST’s set in Helsinki was that it was too short. Nine songs just flew by, and before we knew it, SATYRICON took to the stage.

The Legendary Norwegians opened with “Now, Diabolical” and played hits such as “Black Crow on a Tombstone” or “K.I.N.G.” However, there wouldn’t be a SATYRICON concert without “Mother North.” Arguably one of the most iconic songs of black metal rang in the walls of the Ice Hall by the force of thousands of lungs.

BEHEMOTH entered the stage shrouded in thick smoke and immediately began with a single from their upcoming album “The Shit ov God,” “The Shadow Elite,” followed by a fan-favorite “Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer.” The band didn’t shy away from pyro and theatricals, which is always very welcome. They played both old and new songs, including the first BEHEMOTH song ever written, “Cursed Angel of Doom,” as old as yours truly. They finished the set with an ultimate banger, “O Father O Satan O Sun,” and left accompanied by the thunderous applause Enjoy our photo gallery below…
