On October 22nd, 2026, the black metal giants DIMMU BORGIR and BEHEMOTH brought their massive co-headline tour to the Georg Elser Halle in Hamburg. With DARK FUNERAL joining them as the support act, it was a highly anticipated night. Honestly, with the sheer scale of the production, this tour is an absolute must-visit even if you are not usually the biggest black metal fan.
Every single band on this bill put on a genuinely great show. The night kicked off with DARK FUNERAL, who set the bar high right from the start. They delivered a relentless set full of fast blast beats, aggressive guitars getting the crowd headbanging immediately including us photographers in the pit.
Next up was BEHEMOTH, and their stage production was just off the charts. Frontman Nergal and the rest of the band brought an incredibly intense stage presence, complete with striking costumes, massive pyro effects, and dark visuals. Their crowd interaction was top-notch, pulling everyone into their commanding, theatrical performance. The floor went completely wild, sending crowdsurfers to the front while the band perfectly balancing raw aggression with a deeply atmospheric show.
Closing out the night, DIMMU BORGIR completely took over the Georg Elser Halle with their own massive set. They perfectly blended their heavy roots with their signature symphonic elements. It was really cool to hear those huge orchestral parts and choirs filling the large hall. Just like the other co-headliner, their stage setup and strong presence made the whole performance feel like a huge cinematic event. It was a loud, intense, and visually stunning night that perfectly showcased three different sides of black metal.
