Alternative metal outfit SHEREIGN unveiled their latest single, “Visual Animals,” a few months back, yet we can’t stop listening to it. We’ve selected it as our featured single due to its refreshing character. The track not only maintains the band’s signature alternative metal sound but also introduces some new elements that add an exciting twist to their musical repertoire.
“Visual Animals” comes on the heels of SHEREIGN‘s debut album, “Ghost Diaries,” released in January 2023. Released on November 10, 2023, the single marks the band’s accelerated pace in delivering compelling music. This song delves into the core issues prevalent in our society, tackling the idealization of immortality and youth, as well as the societal pressures related to appearance.
Sara Strömmer, the band’s vocalist, once again demonstrates her prowess with solid vocals, seamlessly transitioning between clean melodies and powerful growls. Her versatility shines through, showcasing the full extent of her talents. Noteworthy is the addition of drummer Jope Salminen, known from EVERFROST, making his debut with SHEREIGN.
