Another month has passed and finally, October has brought us a proper autumn. Luckily for us, shows are back on the table and we were able to attend a great local club show at On The Rocks in Helsinki with newcomers ST. AURORA and rising hard rock act TEMPLE BALLS on October 2nd, 2021.
ST. AURORA were playing their first show ever on this night. It was clearly an anticipated gig as the club was filled with wild cheering and screaming as soon as the guys came on stage. Even more so, the cheering didn’t stop at any point! Their singer, Nile, is clearly a showman, for he kept the audience in his grip even with relatively long speeches between the songs. They played their debut EP and gave a taste of the band’s future by also playing two new songs. The epic ending for the gig was a cover of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE’s “Guerilla Radio.” All-in-all, it was a great debut show!
Hard rock act TEMPLE BALLS delivered a solid hard rock show filled with intense energy, tight pants, and a whole lot of hair in the air. The crowd was yet again in a party frenzy, singing along to the tracks, and enjoying live music. The band had a really comprehensive setlist including songs from each of their albums, focusing, of course, on their newest release, “Pyromide.” Altogether, the evening turned out to be a successful night – no wonder it was sold out!
