Playlist of My Life: Bill Hudson (Northtale) (Musicalypse Archive)

While NORTHTALE might be a new band for you, Bill Hudson‘s name may still be known. Before now, he has played in bands like U.D.O. and Dirkschneider, as well as the TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA. Nowadays he’s joined forces with Christian Eriksson and Patrick Johansonn to form the aforementioned NORTHTALE, with their debut album, “Welcome to Paradise,” coming out on August 2nd, 2019. In anticipation thereof, here is the playlist of Bill Hudson‘s life!

1. The first song you remember hearing as a child

Probably some lullaby, my mom has sang for me since before I was born. If I had to pick a specific title, I’d guess “À Majestade o Sabiá” by a Brazilian country duo named Chitãozinho & Xororó.

2. The first song you can recall ever really and truly loving

“Perfect Kiss” by NEW ORDER. This was before rock n’ roll ever came into my life.

3. A song that you loved as a teenager/reminds you of high school

“Eagle Fly Free” by HELLOWEEN and “Speed of Light” by STRATOVARIUS. I’d say most music that inspires the music of NORTHTALE reminds me of high school.

4. The song or band that got you into metal music (or the current genre you play in)

5. The most recent song to get stuck in your head

“Killers & Kings” by MACHINE HEAD

6. Your guilty pleasure song/band

I’m not really embarrassed by anything I listen to, to call it a guilty pleasure. I’m sure some metalhead would be disappointed knowing that one of my favorite songs right now is “Don’t You Worry Child” by the SWEDISH HOUSE MAFIA.

7. The first album you bought with your own money/the first album you were really excited to own

“Keeper of The Seven Keys Part I” by HELLOWEEN.

8. A song that makes you want to curl up on the couch with a hot beverage

I’m not sure…

9. A song to blast at full volume while you’re on the road

“Angel of Death” by SLAYER.

10. The song you’d most like to be played at your funeral

“November Rain” by GUNS ‘N’ ROSES.
