On March 8th, 2026, Berlin’s Columbiahalle became the stage for the Arcane Dimensions Tour, a co-headlining run by EPICA and AMARANTHE, joined by special guest Charlotte Wessels. Bringing together symphonic metal and modern melodic metal, the evening offered a carefully balanced mix of cinematic atmosphere, technical precision, and high-energy performance.
Opening the night, CHARLOTTE WESSELS’ THE OBSESSION set a dark and immersive tone. With tracks like “Chasing Sunsets” and “The Crying Room,” the set leaned heavily into layered soundscapes and emotional depth. A highlight came with “Dopamine,” followed later by “Soft Revolution.” Closing with “The Exorcism,” Wessels left a powerful impression, blending vulnerability with theatrical intensity.
AMARANTHE followed with a noticeable shift in energy. Known for their polished production and dynamic vocal approach, the band delivered a tightly executed set featuring “Fearless,” “Viral,” and “Digital World.” Their signature three-vocalist setup created a constant interplay between melodic hooks and heavier passages, keeping the momentum steady throughout. Tracks like “The Catalyst” and “Amaranthine” were met with enthusiastic crowd response, while the encore—featuring “Archangel,” “That Song,” and “Drop Dead Cynical”—brought the set to an energetic close.
Taking the stage last, EPICA transformed the atmosphere once again, introducing a more orchestral and expansive sound. Opening with “Apparition” and “Cross the Divide,” the band immediately established their signature blend of symphonic elements and metal intensity. Simone Simons delivered a commanding vocal performance throughout the set, supported by the band’s tight musicianship. The setlist balanced newer material from Aspiral, including “Eye of the Storm,” with well-known tracks such as “Cry for the Moon” and “Unleashed.” One of the evening’s standout moments came with “Sirens – Of Blood and Water,” featuring Charlotte Wessels, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the tour. The emotional depth of “Tides of Time” contrasted beautifully with the scale of “The Grand Saga of Existence,” showcasing the band’s range.
Closing with “Beyond the Matrix,” EPICA delivered a fitting finale to a night defined by powerful performances and a cohesive artistic vision. The Arcane Dimensions Tour proved to be more than just a shared bill, it was a well-curated experience that highlighted the strengths of each act while creating a unified atmosphere throughout the evening.
