On June 5th and 6th, 2026, Ankea Festival made its debut at Hiedanranta in Tampere, bringing a much-needed dose of progressive music to the Finnish festival calendar. With performances from LEPROUS, KATATONIA, TEXTURES, IHLO, GREEN CARNATION, GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT, KÆLAN MIKLA, SYLVAINE, and many more, there was plenty to enjoy on the musical front.
But Ankea Festival was about more than just the bands. Set against the backdrop of Hiedanranta’s industrial landscape, colorful street art, and unique festival grounds, the event also attracted a wonderfully diverse crowd of music lovers from all walks of life, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere throughout the weekend.
