On April 24th, 2025, another edition of Brutalfest arrived in Turku. Four great deathgrind bands honored the stage of Turku’s Nirvana with their crushing riffs and beastly vocals.
The first band of the night was NEUROSURGERY from Helsinki, who returned to Turku for this year’s edition of Brutalfest to deliver a truly wall-shattering performance. The next band was ABADDON INCARNATE, a group of Irishmen with jolly personalities that paired exquisitely with the most soul-crushing, brutal sound of the music they played. The third band of the night was PUTRID OFFAL from France, who, clad in bloody lab coats, gave a new meaning to the word grindcore.
The night’s final band and headliner were Norwegian death metal kings BLOOD RED THRONE. On top of their great sound and catchy riffs, their contact with the audience was admirable as both the vocalist and guitarists were constantly fistbumping people and headbanging alongside them.
