Earlier this year, Finnish modern metal outfit ATLAS released their latest album, “Sunder,” which quickly established itself as one of the standout releases of 2026. Following an extensive tour alongside ORBIT CULTURE, the band returned to Helsinki for a special hometown show dubbed Homecoming on May 23rd, 2026. Opening the evening was LASTOUT, a welcome sight after some time away from the local stage.
Ahead of the show, ATLAS had announced that they would perform “Sunder” in full. While the band did indeed play the album in its entirety, the tracks were woven into the set alongside older material rather than being performed from start to finish in album order. That wasn’t a negative by any means, but given the album’s excellent flow, it would be exciting to one day experience “Sunder” performed exactly as it was intended.
The venue was packed, and ATLAS delivered a powerful performance filled with energy and enthusiasm, making Homecoming a memorable night for both the band and their fans. Check out our photo gallery from the evening here…
