After being canceled in 2024, Rockfest once again set up an excellent edition held from June 12th until June 14th, 2025. This time, Rockfest was held at Artukaistenkenttä in Turku and saw bands like MUSE, JUDAS PRIEST, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, THE CULT, SEPULTURA, JINJER, MOKOMA, CEMETERY SKYLINE, SARA, MOON SHOT, AWAKE AGAIN, and many more. We will all remember its 2025 edition with nostalgia once we get our much-needed 12 hours of sleep. 3 days, 32 bands, endless liters of beer (for others), and over 2000 photos taken (for me).
The festival’s second day kicked off properly with a performance of the Swedish hard rock band NESTOR on the Main Stage. Afterwards, we, together with the rest of the audience, flocked to the Pirkka Stage on the opposite side of the festival ground to see other Swedes, this time from DEAD BY APRIL.
After a healthy dose of metalcore, we were ready for the BATTLE BEAST on the Main Stage. The Finns delivered an epic performance as always, with vocalist Noora Louhimo rocking an exquisitely tailored new all-black outfit. Next up was the performance of DIE KRUPPS from Germany, followed by AWAKE AGAIN on the Black Stage inside the Gatorade Centre.
At around 20:00, the time has come for the second day’s headliners, starting with BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE on the Main Stage, and JINJER on the Pirkka Stage. The day ended with the performance of RAMMSTEIN‘s frontman’s solo act, Till Lindemann. That was truly something else, with NSFW imagery and real meat thrown at the audience. The day’s aftershow was CEMETERY SKYLINE on the Pirkka Stage, which concluded the second day of Rockfest 2025. Check our photo gallery here…
