Finnish cinemascope metallers Crimfall will release their new album “Amain” on August 25th via Metal Blade Records. Crimfall have now released the first video clip and single of the new album “Until Falls the Rain”

The band states: “Before we unleash the third storm that is ‘Amain’ we present you our very first music video. ‘Until Falls The Rain’ is the crushing conclusion for the album, last simmering truths are laid low, throats bared against the unforgiving fall. It was a long day of drowning under homemade sprinklers, shooing away fire brigades and mopping away thousand lakes of water. In the end we are more than satisfied with the forlorn end result.

The video was directed by Olli Häkkinen and shot by Max Smeds.

REVIEW: Heroes Don’t Ask Why – Heroes Don’t Ask Why

Arising from what was then still a dark cloud in 2015, Heroes Don’t Ask Why rose to existence in Kokkola and is our next band in line for our support your local band threat. The four piece released their first self-titled album, containing six different tracks in December 2016. While they don’t want to put a label on themselves, they call their music “divorce metal, with a rock attitude”. A well sorted out combo of rock and metal.

REVIEW: Nicumo – Storms Arise

Northern Finland is home to a new genre: Melancholic metal. What is that, you may ask? A genre used to describe the music Finnish band Nicumo creates. It takes cues from different genres, such as goth rock, death metal and doom. Instead you get an unforgettable, unique experience that has a melodic and melancholic sound to it.

Nicumo was initiated by guitarist Atte Jääskelä in Northern Finland in 2007. They found their definite direction with a brand new line up in 2009. Now it’s time for a second full length album, called “Storm Arise”. “Storms Arise” follows the band’s well reviewed debut “The End of Silence” and takes a step towards even more versatile scales of music and emotions.
