Hellsinki Metal Festival returned to Nordis in Helsinki for its fourth edition on August 7th and 8th, 2026, bringing together two days of heavy music and an impressively diverse lineup spanning everything from extreme metal and black metal to classic heavy metal, progressive sounds, industrial and more. With international heavyweights sharing the stage with some of Finland’s finest, the festival once again showcased just how broad the metal spectrum can be and turned Nordis into a gathering place for metal fans from near and far.
The second day concluded the festival’s journey across the metal spectrum, opening with Finnish acts ASSEMBLE THE CHARIOTS and NUMENTO before moving through the progressive and extreme sounds of IOTUNN, SEPULCHRAL CURSE, MISþYRMING, and KALMAH. PARADISE LOST, ELUVEITIE and OPETH brought some of the day’s biggest international names, while CYAN KICKS and TUNGSTEN added a different flavour to the lineup. The programme also featured TRIPTYKON performing CELTIC FROST, BEHEMOTH’S SVENTEVITH with Nergal and MISþYRMING, ORLY, and THE KOVENANT, making for a fittingly diverse and beautiful conclusion to the fourth edition of Hellsinki Metal Festival.
