On September 6th, 2026, we had the chance to see world-class metal stars on the stage of Logomo Club in Turku. Four great bands came to town as part of FEAR FACTORY’s Cybernetic Domination tour. The American legends were joined by their compatriots from THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR, Polish black metallers from HATE, and a five-piece from Japan, CRYSTAL LAKE.
The evening started with the performance of THE NOCTURNAL AFFAIR, a group from Los Angeles playing a mix of industrial metal, metalcore and hard rock with a gothic twist. They warmed up the audience well for the next band of the night, HATE. Significantly heavier than their predecessors, the Poles quickly won over the densening crowd in Logomo’s Teatro. After about a 45-minute-long set, the third support took to the stage. CRYSTAL LAKE’s performance was captivating and engaging, with the vocalist PK running around the stage, feeling every note, every beat, and performing every breakdown. Finally, after three great supporting sets, FEAR FACTORY took to the stage. They played a long set consisting of 17 songs, spanning their entire discography and almost four decades on the world metal scene.
Overall, the evening was incredibly heavy and full of intriguing musical experiences. If someone isn’t familiar with the bands, I highly recommend giving them a listen; they’re all worth it.
