After a night in Tampere and before flying to Germany to perform at Wacken Open Air, POSSESSED made a stop at a sold-out On The Rocks for a night of mayhem (and lots of sweat) filled with classics from the mid-’80s, mixed with the more recent material from the 2019 full-length “Revelations of Oblivion.”
A very cheerful Jeff Becerra was greeted with great enthusiasm by fans, shaking hands and bumping fists throughout the show as the atmosphere became more and more heated and people started moshing – and occasionally attempting some crowd surfing – in the middle of a packed venue. It would have been nicer of course if the sound had been on par with the excitement of the local fans, as, it was pretty hard to make out the vocals even from the front. That didn’t stop people from going wild, then again, when you know all the lyrics, I guess it’s fine too.
The night went by almost too fast, but it was really nice of the band to still hang around and spend some time with their fans, especially given their (probably) tight schedule. This made a difference for many enthusiastic people who were eager to see the band live after quite a few years here in Finland.
