On May 21st, 2025, the stars of technical death metal, ULCERATE, arrived in Helsinki’s On the Rocks club to play the first gig of the 2025 leg of the tour promoting the release of their “Cutting the Throat of God” album.
The evening started with a performance of Helsinki’s very own technical death metallers, OMNIVORTEX. They played a long set, including their most well-known songs, as well as the super fresh, new single released only two days prior, “Visitant.” They warmed the audience up for the main act, which took to the stage a little after 21.00.
ULCERATE started strong with “Flow Through Ashen Hearts,” proceeding to perform five songs from their last year’s release “Cutting The Throat of God.” The setlist was adorned with a few compositions from “Stare Into Death and Be Still” and finished off with an older song from their 2013 album, “Dead Oceans,” as an encore.
The club was packed to the brim, only about 50 tickets short of being sold out. The sea of people swayed to each riff, and it’s safe to say that the evening was a great success. Check our photo gallery here…
