APOCALYPTICA‘s Matka mieleen – kaamoksen sellot Tour is underway and halted at a very special stop in Finland: Mikkeli Cathedral in Mikkeli on November 20th, 2021. Naturally, we had to go see the four-piece play their songs at this marvelous, unique location.
The band and crew created a magical and unique atmosphere inside the Cathedral by using lights and sounds. Churches are naturally one of the most beautiful places to listen to music and the cello metal outfit had adapted their setlist to songs that specifically worked well in the church environment. The venue’s acoustics were obviously excellent for this kind of performance and the entire audience was able to enjoy a show that felt like an emotional rollercoaster, reinforced by fantastic applause at the end of the night. If this tour ever comes to a special location, don’t hesitate to go there, it is well worth it.
