Melodeath fans had their lucky day just one day after Friday the 13th. On Saturday, September 14th, 2024, KAUNIS KUOLEMATON and WOLFHEART graced the stage of Turku’s Utopia and treated us all to a great metal evening.
The first band of the night was KAUNIS KUOLEMATON. They played a very varied set, with a lot of softer parts to balance the heavier riffs. It was mostly thanks to Mikko Heikkilä’s soft clean vocals that the heaviness was broken up a bit, which was very refreshing. The band entertained the audience for almost an hour and, after a loudly requested encore, left the stage to a thunder of well-deserved applause.
The headliner of the night was WOLFHEART, who are celebrating the release of their new album, “Draconian Darkness,” with a tour around Finland. They’re known for their complex compositions, which combine crushing riffs with melancholic melodies. If you’re a fan of melodeath, I highly recommend checking out KAUNIS KUOLEMATON and WOLFHEART live. They are both incredible bands that put on unforgettable shows.
