A return to Helsinki’s On the Rocks for a highly anticipated double bill featuring SUMEA and OCTOPLOID, offering the perfect chance to see how both projects have evolved since sharing the exact same stage a couple of years prior. Opening the night, SUMEA delivered an even more cohesive and commanding set of their progressive, psychedelic stoner/doom metal, previewing exciting brand-new tracks. Following them, progressive death-metal project OCTOPLOID, driven by AMORPHIS bassist Olli-Pekka “Oppu” Laine and fronted by vocalist Mikko Kotamäki, delivered a massive, atmospheric performance, serving as both a celebration of their debut material and a compelling preview of their upcoming sophomore album.
