Just after their show in Wacken, SAVATAGE managed to slip in another date in the Netherlands, after last year’s headlining show at Into The Grave in Leeuwarden. Maybe because of that, the show at 013 Poppodium in Tilburg on August 1st, 2026, was not fully sold out, but it certainly got pretty close, as hordes of fans from all over the place could be seen across town already during the day.
We took the chance to pay a visit to Tilburg and found ourselves among the crowd to see this Zak Stevens-fronted SAVATAGE in one of the nicest music venues in Europe. We were delighted by the show and the crescendo of classics being played, with large parts of the audience often singing along, especially with “Believe” (including Jon Oliva‘s video message that started the song), “Gutter Ballet,” “Edge of Thorns,” and the final encore with “Hall of the Mountain King.” Clearly a night to remember, and bonus points for having no warm-up, in a show that lasted 2 whole hours by itself!
