RAJAVIRTA have stepped out of the shadows of secrecy with their debut single, “Ovi” [The Door], on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024. The song is now released on all music streaming platforms and the music video is available on the band’s YouTube channel.
“The song ‘Ovi’ addresses feelings of alienation and disappointment in futile expectations,” the band describes their fresh release.
RAJAVIRTA is a fresh pop-rock band from Hyvinkää, where guitars and vocals take the lead. Anne Lill Rajala is familiar to many from the metal band LOST IN GREY, where she sings and writes songs. Jussi Virta has been playing guitar and keyboards in various line-ups for several decades.
Inspired by an idea at a party, the duo decided to try creating a single song together. The quickly growing project was named after the combination of Rajala‘s and Virta‘s surnames.
The band’s songs tell various stories of life’s highlights and shadows, influenced by Finnish bands such as APULANTA, Jonna Tervomaa, and KOLMAS NAINEN can be heard in their music.
