Tampere-based group EVERWAVE have released a new song today, “Alternate Ending.” With this new title, the band exhibit their new musical direction, where the familiar and serene melodic output meets modern Scandinavian progressive metal, combined with electronic soundscapes. The song also features some heartfelt saxophone performance by the multi-instrumentalist Mikko Aaltio (TIISU, PAHA KURKI).
One can spend a lifetime pondering where they would be if different choices had been made in the past. The song is about the realization that no path taken or choice made is either right or wrong. The theme is reinforced by a music video, which was produced by the band from start to finish.
“Alternate Ending” sets the stage for the band’s upcoming second album. You can see EVERWAVE live on September 9th, 2023, at Hönö Bar in Tampere along with CRUCIFY THE FAITH and MY FAVORITE NEMESIS.
