September 12th, 2025, was a big day for THE RASMUS, as it was the release date of their new album “Weirdo,” and also the first show of their tour. We arrived at the beautiful Tavara Asema in Tampere to witness a show full of energy.
THE RASMUS has shown their essence is still there and stronger than ever. With their new tour, they will visit all around Finland, and will travel to where their biggest fans are thrilled to see their performance. While THE RASMUS started in 1994, they got worldwide recognition during the ’90s and ’00s. THE RASMUS‘ fans are all like a huge family around the world. This is what the band and fans describe themselves as, and we could see that happening at Tavara Asema. 30 years into their career, and they keep a fresh and energetic vibe, famous for albums like “Into,” “Dead Letters,” “Hide from the Sun,” and many more. The band had prepared a long show that people surely enjoyed in every corner of the world.
They started the night with a debut from their new album, “Rest in Pieces,” which was the first of many very cool songs to follow. Then the band dived into fan favorites like “Guilty,” “No Fear,” and “Time to Burn,” which was a big surprise for just their first songs!
The band played a big part of their most acclaimed hits. Lauri’s voice was incredible, as sharp and melodic as during the beginning of their career; he managed to reach all the high tones effortlessly, a true gem of technique. After a long career, this takes dedication and discipline for a musician. Moving forward, one of my personal highlights of the show was hearing “Shot” and “Bullet.” “October & April” featured Emppu on vocals.
Then, for the last part of the show, as an encore, THE RASMUS had “Sail Away” in store for us, as an acoustic version where we could appreciate Lauri’s voice and talent further. The show ended very energetically with one of their new songs, “Love is a Bitch.” We did not expect the show would be this long and feature some of the band’s most iconic songs of their career. One of my personal favorites, “F-F-F-Falling,” for instance, had everyone jumping. Check out our photo gallery here…
