PREMIERE: Flush – We’re Not Yet Alright

Finnish rock band FLUSH is set to release their second album, “Noises,” on November 29, 2024, via Wormholedeath Records. The album showcases the band’s unique mix of punk, grunge, alternative rock, and metal, drawing inspiration from punk legends and writers like Charles Bukowski. Along with the album release, the band is also releasing a lyric video for their brand-new single, “We’re Not Yet Alright.”

On the surface, “We’re Not Yet Alright” may seem like a lighthearted drinking anthem, akin to earlier tracks like “Cheap Beer” and “Entertainment.” However, the track offers more than meets the eye. At its core, the lyrics delve into the experience of seeking refuge in a bar—where, for a fleeting moment, we find comfort and connection with others who share our struggles. It’s about realizing we’re all a little broken, but in this space, we don’t have to face the world outside. FLUSH’s music creates a temporary refuge for those who need it, offering a sense of belonging where we can say, “We’re all fucked, so let’s be fucked together.” Check out the lyric video “We’re Not Yet Alright” exclusively on Tuonela Magazine before its release on Friday.
