Machine Head tops GMM bill on Friday 16 June!
Your patience has finally been rewarded because the line-up for the 26th edition of Graspop Metal Meeting is complete! On Friday 16 June Machine Head will close out proceedings on our South Stage. More than a decade after their previous appearance here the band around Robb Flynn are finally returning to Dessel for an EXCLUSIVE EUROPEAN FESTIVAL SHOW!
Last year, the band from Oakland, California dropped their 10th – and one of their heaviest – albums with ‘Of Kingdom and Crown’. Machine Head’s last gig on the Dessel plains dates back to 2012 but eleven years later they still rule. Don’t forget to lubricate your vocal chords to shout the lyrics to such classics as ‘Imperium’, ‘Aesthetics of Hate’ and ‘Davidian’ at the top of your lungs! For their fourth stint at GMM they are bringing a special headline production. Let freedom ring with a shotgun blast!
This year one of the finest classical voices in Belgium, Helmut Lotti, is presenting his new project: “Hellmut Lotti Goes Metal”. For decades, Hellmut has had a predilection for metal and this is the first time he will share that passion with a live audience – and at GMM no less! Rendezvous on Sunday 18 June in the Metal Dome!
The following acts complete the #GMM23 line-up: Eclipse, Pro-Pain, Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and Belgian death metallers Schizophrenia.
Elegant Weapons will perform on Sunday instead of Thursday.
