After dropping their third video single “Forever Wrong” a couple of weeks ago, electrifying duo
THE DESIGNS are now releasing their debut album on August 18th, 2022.
“[IN]VENT” is a fusion of electronic and metal elements, an emotional collection of hard-hitting guitar riffs and melancholic synth work. Produced by Italy’s esteemed Eddy Cavazza (PARAMORE, MACHINE HEAD) it underlines contrasts and elevates melodies.
“We were going for something straightforward, yet chaotic. Disturbing but polished,” says Billy
T. Cooper, the male half of the duo and primary author. “It’s definitely an emotional purge. All about contradictions, obsessions, flashes of confusion and clarity. By ‘venting’ inwards, you create something new in the process. So, we named the album [IN]VENT.”
The album artwork, relevantly obscure, was done Snovonne “Sno” Drake, the female voice and force behind the band’s graphic and video work.
In a few days, fans will be able to enjoy the “[IN]VENT” show live. THE DESIGNS are hitting the road supporting horror-rock icons CHRISTIAN DEATH on their European tour.
