On July 9th, 2025, we had visitors from across the Atlantic: ANTICHRIST SIEGE MACHINE came all the way from Richmond, Virginia, to entertain us with their brutal wall of sound. They came to Turku supported by the local black metal act HOC EST BELLUM, whose performance warmed us all up for the main act of the evening.
ANTICHRIST SIEGE MACHINE is that kind of band whose heaviness relies on the drums, with the drummer, SB, taking his task very, very seriously, sounding almost machine-like — is that where the machine reference in the band name comes from? — in the best technical meaning of the word. Despite the band consisting of just two players, the drummer and vocalist, SB, and the guitarist RZ, their sound is very complete, considerate, and polished as much as black metal and blackened death can be polished.
