On February 9th, 2023, TURMION KÄTILÖT with BLOODRED HOURGLASS hit Frannz Club in Berlin as part of their Omen X World Tour

BLOODRED HOURGLASS had arrived from Mikkeli and presented a concentrated modern melodic metal load. In the beginning, the venue was still sparsely filled, but the guys from BRHG rang in the concert evening on time nevertheless. Founded by six, the musicians were only five on stage. However, this did not detract from the musical performance. The sound was well coordinated, although singer Jaredi Koukonen was not always easy to understand. Nevertheless, the audience was moshing and the diehard fans were singing along. It was a warm reception in the capital of Germany. They performed hits like “Drag Me the Rain,” “The Unfinished Story,” and “Where the Sinners Crawl.”

TURMION KÄTILÖT were the main act of the evening. The crowd was completely different – there was clapping, dancing, kissing, and moshing throughout the evening. At the techno-metal party, you could hear the finest guitar riffs, as well as danceable keyboard melodies, which were wonderfully complemented by the mostly Finnish double vocals of the two frontliners, Saku Solin and MC Raaka Pee. The sound could have been a bit clearer overall, but it didn’t take away from the mood. Industrial music is popular in Germany, so the crowd was completely invested – from waving Finnish flags to a hardcore fan playing a plastic pink flute. Fun was the word to describe the concert, although from the first glimpse, the band’s image looked menacing. The setlist ranged from fan-favorites “Pirun nyrkki” and “Verta ja lihaa” to new tracks like “Isä meidän” or “Gabriel” from the current album.
