On June 7th, 2025, a true thrash metal mayhem came to Turku’s Nirvana. Four great bands, both local and from a bit further away, came to contribute to a pleasantly brutal evening.
The first performance of the night was BLOODY HELL, a heavy metal band from Helsinki. Their style is rooted in classic heavy metal, with guitar harmonies and a pounding rhythm section. Next up was RADUX, a thrash metal formation from Tampere. Their style can be described as classic thrash metal, with lyrics revolving around politics and nuclear warfare. They warmed the audience up nicely for the third band of the night, which was Turku’s own SGT SLIME. The band’s energy was infectious, feeding off the crowd’s intensity and giving the same energy back to them. This left the audience more than ready for the final act, DISGUISED MALIGNANCE from Helsinki, a force of nature in the local extreme metal scene. Their set was an all-out wall of sound combining brutal vocals, proper heaviness, and bone-shattering vocals.
