The Nordic Power Metal Titans tour package arrived in the heart of Transylvania to deliver an unforgettable evening that would rock the Form Space venue of Cluj-Napoca on November 6th, 2023, the tour’s lineup included two Atomic Fire Records‘ power metal acts – up-and-coming INDUCTION and the legendary SONATA ARCTICA – as well as, power metal veterans STRATOVARIUS.
STRATOVARIUS, the legendary Finnish power metal band that was supposed to close the evening, had to cancel their performance due to health issues. To compensate for STRATOVARIUS‘s absence, both INDUCTION and SONATA ARCTICA extended their sets, treating the audience to extra doses of power metal magic.
The night began with the support act, INDUCTION, a fresh and promising band that released their latest full-length album, “Born From Fire,” in 2022. They mostly focused their setlist on their latest release, introducing to the audience to their music with a solid performance. The crowd cheerfully welcomed the energetic youngsters showing them their great excitement.
Hailing from Finland, SONATA ARCTICA’s performance was a masterclass in power metal with Tony Kakko‘s vocals captivating the audience and the band’s musicianship leaving everyone in awe. The disappointment of the headlining act STRATOVARIUS‘ canceled performance was understandable, but the audience showed their support by cheering Timo Kotipelto when SONATA ARCTICA dedicated their song, “Broken,” to Timo and STRATOVARIUS.
The Power Metal Titans Tour 2023 in Cluj-Napoca was an unforgettable night for metal enthusiasts. INDUCTION and SONATA ARCTICA delivered dynamic performances that will remain in the memories of all those who attended, despite the unfortunate cancellation of STRATOVARIUS.
