During the first week of October, on October 6th, 2023, we visited the venue Fabrik in the heart of Altona, Hamburg, to see the legendary PINK TURNS BLUE.
The legendary trio pioneered the German new-wave movement back in 1985. After pausing their activities for several years from the ’90s to the 2000s, their sound continued to evolve, as did their live presence. With a mesmerizing post-punk sound today, PINK TURNS BLUE remains one of the most important names in the German scene of the aforementioned subgenres. While they have been around for a while, their music is nothing short of timeless.
They encountered an eager audience that packed the venue and seemed to be acquainted with their work. The first rows were filled with singing followers who cheered every minute of their performance.
