September started with a bang as Helsinki’s Kulttuuritalo played host to Swedish electronic rock and metal outfit SOLENCE and Mongolian folk metal sensation THE HU on September 4th, 2024.
Though SOLENCE was a late addition to the lineup, they still drew an impressive crowd. The band delivered a high-energy set, combining powerful electronic elements with hard-hitting rock and metal. While their interaction with the audience was limited—possibly due to the venue’s layout—they still managed to leave an impact with their dynamic performance.
Next up, THE HU took the stage and completely captivated the audience. Their set was both musically tight and sonically impressive, a notable achievement given that sound quality at Kulttuuritalo can sometimes be hit or miss. They focused much of the evening on tracks from their latest album, “Rumble of Thunder,” while also weaving in fan-favorite classics. The combination of traditional Mongolian instrumentation and modern metal elements created an atmosphere that was both unique and mesmerizing.
