After few years of pandemic break, Halloween Mega Mayhem was back in business at Utopia in Turku for its fourth edition, this year on November 4th, 2022, providing four bands for us: BLOODREDNAILS, SACRED DIMENSION, AVACIA, and AWAKE AGAIN.
BLOODREDNAILS always puts on a good, energetic show with their modern metal/old school death metal mashup. This time was no different than what we’ve come to expect. SACRED DIMENSION, coming from Hanko, brought listeners a solid show with clean vocals, growls, and of course, keytar played by their singer. AVACIA is a local trio from Turku, who were playing their first gig in over an year on this night, while AWAKE AGAIN never disappoints. Their newest album, “No Matter How the World Turns,” was released back in March and the vinyl LPs had finally arrived. They are always fun to photograph and are a great live band.
Overall, the party were really enjoyable, with great bands and atmosphere. Here’s hoping that we’ll be able to attend again next year!
