Despite disbanding back in 2015, Finnish gothic metal outfit CHARON returned to the stage this year for a special reunion tour across Finland, marking the 20th anniversary of their 2005 album “Songs for the Sinners.” Featuring every past and present member except Pasi Sipilä, the tour quickly sold out, with fans traveling from far and wide to witness the band’s long-awaited comeback. On August 31st, 2025, CHARON played the second of two nights at the legendary Tavastia in Helsinki — a show that proved both powerful and deeply nostalgic. The band, who also recently released a brand-new single to support the tour, seemed genuinely moved by the overwhelming response. Whether this marks a permanent return remains uncertain, but for one night at least, it felt like CHARON had never left.
