On October 26th, 2025, we had the chance to see two great bands from overseas at Nirvana in Turku: the vampires from SPITER and blasphemers from PROFANATICA.
The evening started with SPITER, who filled the stage with smoke and delivered the most hellish riffs to the loud approval of the audience. Their style is a little more theatrical than your regular black metal band, with references to Dracula and vampirism, but still very pleasantly occult and profane, which is always greatly appreciated. Despite being a relatively new band, they have a lot of material, which resulted in them playing a pretty long set in Turku.
The highlight of the night was PROFANATICA, who emerged in their signature ritualistic robes, a striking contrast to how they looked just a few minutes before during soundcheck. They started with “Final Hour of Christ,” followed by “Master of Man Absolute” and hits such as “Take Up The Cross.” It was a great treat for all the local fans of blasphemy.
