Ukrainian metal band JINJER performed on February 25th, 2026, at Tampere’s Tavara-asema as part of their ongoing European tour. To our surprise, the venue filled steadily even before the first warm-up band; needless to say, the show was sold out well in advance too.
The night opened with newly reunited TEXTURES, whose technically precise progressive metal set, combined with strong thrash-metal vibes established the tone early on. They were followed by UNPROCESSED, delivering a more angular and layered performance that bridged effectively into the headliner’s aesthetic.
JINJER’s set began with minor technical difficulties that slightly disrupted the opening moments and delayed the opening time by a brief moment. The issues were resolved after the first few songs, allowing the band to settle into a more consistent flow. Once the sound balance stabilized, the performance tightened, and the dynamic shifts characteristic of the band’s material became more defined.
The setlist leaned on well-known tracks from their catalog, emphasizing groove-driven sections and sharp contrasts between melodic and heavier passages. Audience response remained steady throughout, particularly during the mid-set segment, but not enough to form any decent-sized moshpits.
Although the show ultimately ran smoothly, the overall duration felt somewhat brief. The performance was efficient and focused, but without extended sections or notable deviations from the standard structure, it left a slightly condensed impression. Take a look at our gallery of the evening below…
