EYE OF MELIAN recently released their new album, “Forest of Forgetting,” and with a dedicated fanbase in Finland, a Finnish tour naturally followed. Despite a recent stop in nearby Espoo, Helsinki was an essential part of the journey—and the band chose the stunning Aleksanterin Teatteri as the setting for their performance.
The venue proved to be the perfect match for the band’s Tolkien-inspired, otherworldly soundscapes. Presented as a fully seated show, the evening drew a diverse audience and unfolded in a setting that felt both intimate and immersive. The production complemented the atmosphere beautifully, featuring an oval-shaped projection screen adorned with natural elements, adding to the ethereal visual experience—though the (somewhat surprisingly unlit) candles left a small detail to the imagination.
In true theatrical fashion, the performance was divided into two halves with an intermission, allowing the audience to fully sink into the world of EYE OF MELIAN and experience the music as a complete journey rather than just a concert. Check out our photo gallery from the night here…
