On Monday, July 18th, 2022, American hardcore punk band ANTI-FLAG hit Klub Kwadrat in Krakow as part of their European Tour. The show was organized by the booking agency Winiary Bookings.
ANTI-FLAG has been around since 1988 and is one of the most renowned modern punk bands out there. They opened the show with “Brandenburg Gate” and frontman Justin Sane immediately kicked in with insane energy. Bassist Chris “nr2” Barker had some crazy energy too, running and jumping all over the stage. They mixed in songs from their latest album with their frankly greatest hits catalog and presented an exclusive brand new song. The highlight songs of the evening were “Press Corpse, Broken Bones & This Is the End (For You My Friend).” The most iconic moments were the Justin/Chris duo hyping the crowd and spreading slogans of their political views and awareness about the problems our society encounters. The band is well known for its social activism and supporting organizations like Greenpeace, BLM, donating to charity, and being anti-war. They concluded the set with a mash of covers of iconic punk rock songs and “Cities Burn.” After the show, they came to interact with fans.
Overall the show was on fire and the energy was through the roof. ANTI-FLAG delivered not only high-paced quality punk but also an important message.
