GALLERY: 17.4.2024 Inferno Metal Festival – DAY 1 @ Rockefeller & John Dee, Oslo

The black metal vibe took over Oslo as the Inferno Festival kicked off from April 17th, 2025, to April 20th, 2025, bringing together the heaviest and darkest sounds in metal.

The first day of Inferno Festival 2025 kicked off with a strong and diverse lineup across both main venues, Rockefeller and John Dee

I started the day with Swedish band TIAMAT, who mix a Gothic vibe with a doom metal sound. The Swedish veterans played a solid set, including material from “Wildhoney” and “Clouds,” delivering atmosphere and nostalgia in equal measure. TIAMAT was followed by a fierce set of raw black metal performed by Canadian SPECTRAL WOUND.

Back at Rockefeller, BATUSHKA brought their signature blend of black metal and Orthodox-inspired ritual. Their set featured incense, robes, and religious visuals, creating a unique experience for the packed venue.

Headlining the night at Rockefeller, ABBATH delivered a powerful show. ABBATH played his legacy set consisting of IMMORTAL’s classics such as “One by One,” “Damned in Black,” and “The Call of the Wintermoon.”

Overall, the first day of Inferno Festival 2025 offered a strong mix of styles and performances. From raw black metal to theatrical ritual and gothic doom, it was a solid start to the festival. Check our photo gallery below…
