For the past two years, the Finnish festival Metallivuori has been taking place in Sierravuori, however, its 2023 edition moved right next to the Uittamo Pavillion in Turku, a mere 2 kilometers away from the city center! We were excited to see the festival take place in its new habitat with bands like BEFORE THE DAWN, WOLFHEART, KIUAS, TURMION KÄTILÖT, STAM1NA, and many more!
Metallivuori’s second day started with some sunshine and the heavy tunes of melodic death metal act WOLFHEART who opened up the main stage. We also saw AWAKE AGAIN, BEFORE THE DAWN, and TYRANTTI‘s only show this year on the same stage. The Turku Rock Academy stage hosted bands like WITHOUT WARNING, LICUATION, DESTINY INVEILED, and SACRED DIMENSION. TURMION KÄTILÖT had a headliner slot and ended the festival’s second day with a blast!
Metallivuori‘s second day went smoothly, before the final show of the evening, the organization also announced that the festival is also taking place in 2024 – we can’t wait!
