After having completed a successful run with NIGHTWISH, Finnish industrial metal act TURMION KÄTILÖT are currently touring around Europe in celebration of their newest record, “Omen X.” They brought the rising melodic death metal band BLOODRED HOURGLASS along for the party and had a stop at Chelsea in Vienna on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2023.
When BLOODRED HOURGLASS were set to play, the front row was already fully taken and a decent crowd had gathered to witness the band’s legendary first show in Vienna. It seemed like people didn’t really need any warming up, as they were already well acquainted with BLOODRED HOURGLASS‘ music and right from the start were moving, shouting, and headbanging along to the songs. In their approximately 45-minute set, they surely set a proper foundation for what was to come for the rest of the night.
Any night would be good to see TURMION KÄTILÖT in an intimate venue like Chelsea, but Valentine’s Day offered the perfect setting for a sweet date with the industrial metal act. An interesting mix of people and ages gathered to dance to the Finnish disco beats, whose new material was just released in January. The set consistent of eighteen songs and many of those slots were dedicated to the new album, so it was definitely a great experience to hear some of these live for the first time. The crowd was dancing, jumping, moshing in the disco moshpit, and probably just having one of the most unique Valentine’s dates ever. Check out our gallery below…
