In mid-July every year, fans of heavy music flock to Uittamo in Turku for the Metallivuori festival. This year, the event took place on July 11th and July 12th, 2025, and, as always, featured a lot of great bands. We had two stages to watch bands on Puistolava and TRA stage inside the Uittamon Paviljonki, reserved for the Turku Rock Academy bands.
On the second day of the festival, we came to Uittamo nice and early to catch the performance of AS I MAY on the main stage, followed by NEMESIS on the TRA stage. Then, as we were catching up with AWAKE AGAIN on the main stage, we got caught by a light sprinkle, which turned into a full-on downpour during DESTINY INVEILED. During the breaks between showers, we enjoyed JATKOROIKKA 666 on the TRA stage and, great as always, KAUNIS KUOLEMATON on main. The weather adventures ended right before 21:00, so we could fully immerse ourselves in the FINNTROLL experience on the main stage. Their performances are always quite hypnotic, with strategically placed smoke machines and troll ears adding to the atmosphere. The last act to play on the TRA stage was TOIVO OLAVI, and the entire festival ended with a performance of the only foreign guests in this year’s Metallivuori, EVIL INVADERS from Belgium, who gave a great show of how speed metal should sound.
Overall, these were two very enjoyable days of heavy music and good vibes, which I would recommend to anyone. Check out our photo gallery here…
