Having recently released a new song, “Fake Perfection,” we know that Finnish hard rockers of SHIRAZ LANE are planning to release a new album in 2022. We talked with guitarist Miki Kalske about how 2021 looked like for him and the band. Read the complete interview below…
What musical goals did you set for 2021? Did you achieve them?
Our greatest musical goal for 2021 was to complete our third album. It seems like we are going to achieve this goal since we have managed to track close to everything and we still have the remainder of the year for post-production.
Were you able to dedicate as much of 2021 to your project/band as you had hoped?
Yes, we dedicated a big portion of our collective time to the band. Since touring is restricted, our focus has been on songwriting & recording.
What were some of the highlights you realized in 2021?
I think the highlight was to realize that we have more new material that can actually fit on one record. That is proof of being productive.
Is there anything you learned during 2021?
The most important thing is to be true to your heart, not to what is expected by others.
